Delicious meatball recipe, easy, healthy and perfect for the whole family. This dish is packed with flavor and can be on the table in no time. I like to serve it over whole wheat pasta with a simple tomato sauce, but it would be just as good with rice or quinoa. You can even get creative and add vegetables to the sauce to make it even more nutritious.
Either way, this dish is sure to please the whole family. Delicious, easy and healthy – what more could you ask for? Enjoy your lunch!
In a food processor, place the onions, cheese, garlic, salt, and pepper. Grind until it forms a homogenous paste.
In a large separate bowl, place the eggs and breadcrumbs. Add the onions and garlic paste to the bowl and the meat. Mix well until homogenous.
Make golf ball-sized balls and place them on sheet trays lined with parchment paper.
Place in the oven or slow cooker
If in the oven: Set at 425oF and leave for15 min or until internal temperature reads 170oF with a meat thermometer.
If in the air fryer, preheat first then set it to 400oF. Making batches of 12, cook for 15 min or until internal temperature reads 170F with a meat thermometer.
It can be served on top of pasta and tomato sauce, in a sandwich for a great meatball sub or even next to potatoes and a green salad. This recipe makes 84 balls you can put aside in the freezer for an easy meal during a busy weeknight. Enjoy!
