This recipe can replace mayonnaise in your sandwiches, as a marinade on chicken before roasting and of course as a delicious alternative to tomato sauce on your favorite pasta.
Step 1: Grind to the consistency of a puree
- Basil, fresh, 40 g
- 1 avocado
- Parmesan or Romano cheese, powder, 125 ml (½ cup)
- Garlic, ½ – 1 clove (to taste, optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Avocado oil, 1 tbsp (15 mL)
Step 2: Water, add 1 tbsp (15 mL) at a time to desired consistency
